Many people have discussed how the Naudet Brothers managed to frame the World Trade Center in the background of a scene between a senior fireman talking with a rookie about the requirements of the job. "What luck!" 911 skeptics say sarcastically.
What the author finds positively strange is how incredibly pliant these firemen are. The author has made films using professional and non-professional talent. He has found that it is very hard to keep amateurs focused on a task, particularly when multiple set-ups are used.

Set-ups take time. (Normally, about ten to twenty minutes per shot if shooting video. This could easily be increased in a scene that involves a firetruck crane.) Yet, the firemen here seem so unbelievably dedicated to participating in this documentary it belies the idea that this was made by amateurs.

This scene probably took several hours to film. Neither New York city firefighter seems to mind. There is no sense of agitation or tension in either man, as their evening is being spent filming a documentary for two filmmaking brothers that no one has previously heard of.

These actors are incredible.
